Our passion for supporting the needs of the local community was there from the very start in 1939. From doing everything possible to serve customers in remote coastal areas during and after devastating storms, to fueling local emergency services and emergency workers, and  supporting hundreds of small non-profits that serve our community.

  The H.E.L.P.S. non-profit foundation (Humanitarian Endowment for Lasting Public Support) was officially established in 1992 to provide on-going funds for local non-profit needs.

   Over the years H.E.L.P.S. has raised support for more than 250 local organizations and causes with over $800,000 in funds. 100% of all funds raised go to local Carteret and Craven communities.

  The annual campaign to support Carteret County Health and Human Service Kids In Foster Care through Round-Up at the Jim Dandy store locations is one ways that we continue to show our commitment. It is not just about raising money. Donations of thousands of fresh baked cookies (Winner of 2024 Carteret Chamber’s Cookie Drive for Troops), or fresh deli sandwiches or signature light rolls breakfast donations for schools, sports teams or businesses is part of how our teams show their support.

 This is not just a market for our business. This is our home. We care about it, it’s personal.
